or hit, the weekend business including paid previews has been 22 crore, if the film sustains well and reaches 30 crore by the end, and then does 17 to 16 crore in 2nd week. It could recover if it passes 50 crore sinces thats the total budget. IB I need your help here.
shareFirst and foremost, the movie has made 21 crores during the weekend + paid previews. Then it crashed on monday making 2.5 crores for a total of 23.5 crores in four days. More three days are left for the week to get over and this movie at the max can make upto 29-30 crores. And No ways is the movie going to do a 16-17 crores in second week. The cinema owners are already reducing the number of shows. The movie has a very poor WOM and it has no chance whatsoever at Boxoffice. I thought the movie might do decent abroad, but it has made a meagre 8.5 crores for such a record release. Even in UK, it made around 400,000 USD. Very poor.
I am sorry, acmilan but the movie is already a flop and one has to wait to see whether it will be a disaster on not. The movie was made on a budget of 50 crores and it cost WB 65 crores. The total revenue of the movie is not expected to make more than 45 crores, which will be 20 crore loss for WB. Total revenue means distributor share of Indian, Overseas market. Also includes satellite rights and VCD/DVD thing. The movie is expected to fetch not more than 22 crores as distributor share in India and not more than 5.5 crores abroad. These numbers are disastrous actually.
