Chandni Chowk compared to The Forbidden Kingdom

Which movie did you enjoy more?

As bad as CC2C is, the slapstick humour in it is the same as that of Jackie Chan's Hong Kong adventure movies or even his Hollywood movies like The Tuxedo. I imagine that many of the developments in CC2C where meant to be parodying HK movies; the slapstick, the exaggerated characters, Deepika P's over-written but under-developed character. But too many different influences ruined things.

Forbidden Kingdom isn't a great movie either, but one thing about CC2C was that the production values really came through well for a first collaboration between Hollywood and Bollywood.

Well The Forbidden Kingdom was actually quite funny. The fight between both Chan and Li was one of the best fight scenes in recent years. I enjoyed the story as it was just a more 'modernized' attempt of 'Journey To The West' and there were alot of elements of old school kung fu movies which I rew up watching. As a fan of Kung Fu movies - I choose the Forbidden Kingdom.

I really liked CC2C a lot. It had me laughing almost all the way through and was like watching two of my favorite genres of film at the same time. It was great! I don't get why people don't like it. Forbidden Kingdom was just a watered down excuse to get Jet Li and Jackie Chan into some teenage boy's masturbatory fantasy and its only saving grace was found in the fight scene between those two men.

Yuen Woo-Ping's choreography and the shoddy fight scenes in CC2C: Enough said. You can't compare a Bollywood attempt at kung fu movies against a movie with 2 legends of the genre.

the last 45 minutes or so of CC2C was okie, felt a lot like snake in monkets shadow

forbidden kingdom wasnt a very good film, but still miles ahead of cc2c
