Copy of Malayalam film

This looks like a copy of an old Malayalam film called Yodha released in the early 90's. Starring Mohanlal, Jagathy, Madhoo (of Roja fame) and Puneet Issar.

reply

Shut up, Mohanlal or whoever cannot do martial arts action, this film is inspired from akshay kumar's own life, none these actors you mentioned were chef in Bankok and then studied martial arts before becoming an action hero in bollywood.

ALAYALAM GUY ARAGON LISTEN MAN NO ONE WATCHES YOUR FAT AND UGLY HEROES LIKE THAT MOHANLAL DUDE EXCEPT YOURSELF LOZ AHAHAHAHAHA

That's because it most likely is.

@ abhishekrulez
Not many people in the country might've watched Mohanlal's malayalam films.
But he is a much better actor than bollycrap actors like Salman and Shah Rukh.
He has won more national awards(2)than all the Khans put together(zero,of course)
Have you even watched his performance in Company?

Just goes to show that bollywood and its actors are all hype!
All this six pack, eight pack nonsense! How else would you explain *beep* movies like Singh is King and Race becoming huge hits.
This doesn't happen with Malayalam movies as there is no superstar craze in Kerala.
Content is king in the malayalam film industry.
And so many hindi films are remakes of malayalam films.Go watch the malayalm version of Bhool Bhulaiyya, starring Mohanlal.
Its much better than the piece of *beep* remake!

And now Billo Barber is being filmed, which is a remake of another malayalam film.
I'm glad that Irfan Khan is in the lead role.Atleast it won't stink!

reply

Roshan840-1 I heard of this movie called Devragam, is it any good?

reply

acmilan2,I haven't watched that one. Most of the malayalam movies from the 90's are the best.
There were many comedy movies, much like common man's cinema such as Golmaal,Chashme Badoor etc at that time.
In recent times,a movie called Meesha Madhavan was released which was just like those old movies.
This was a brilliant film. There was comedy and drama too.
If this film is remade in hindi it will be a sureshot hit,if the casting is right.
Most of Mohanlal's films from the 90's were great films and big hits.

reply

The reason I asked this is because I heard my favourite actress Sridevi received Prestigious Toronto Festival best actress award for this film. I really wnna see this.

reply

Devaragam(1994), The movie was directed by veteran director Bharathan (Vaishali fame)casting Aravind Swami (Roja,Bombay) and Sreedevi. Its a drama about a Brahmin boy and a village girl. Won several awards and screened in all big film festivals

reply

but they are still ugly and fat though lolz ahahahahaha that dont change does it bro and no one cares to watch them except fellow fat and ugly audiences .lolz ahahahahaha

reply

Yes,he is fat.So what?
I'm not fat and I watch his movies and all kinds of movies like German,Korean etc.
I guess its no use telling a 10 year old like you.Its your loss anyway, not mine!
What logic man!Anyone who watches his movies are fat?:D :D :D
I'm glad there are movies like Devdas,Karzzzzzz,Tashan for kids like you!

Mohanlal has lost his spontaneity. He used to be a great actor. Not anymore. Generally Mal films have lost its quality. It is right that during the 90s there where fantastic movies. I think the passing away of Bharathan, padmarajan, aravindan had a lot to do with it. I think the alternative hindi cinema (multiplex) are better off now. Such as A wednesday etc.

Best Mohanlal movies:

Manjil Virinja Pookal (hs first movie. terrifying villain)
Uyarangalil
Vasthuhara
Bharatham (I though Nedumudi was a better actor in this one. Lal won the national award for this.)
H.H Abdullah
Sphadikam
Manichitrathazhu (Spine chilling)
Vaanaprastham
Keeridam (Perhaps his best)
Devasuram (Anti-hero. Especially the scene where he makes Revathy dance in front of him)
Chitram, Sanmansulavarku samadhanam, T.P Balagopalan M.A, Nadodikkattu, Kilukkam (all brilliant comedy)

UNDERRATED MOVIE - Maya mayuram

reply

i totally agree.....his versatility is simply amazing.....

dude you one of his good movies...Irupatham Noottandu..
loved this a lot

reply

yes it is! the base plot is the same...

and a question to that *beep* idoit who was problems with fat actors with international standards...

when did askshay went to bangok and was mistaken for a figters reincarnation and he fought and saved a village from villans?

oye fking idiot..its OK for us that u read all the masala magazines of some crappy hindi news channels worth *beep* dont mind u eating all that *beep* either..just dont vomit it here..

reply

True akshay didn't fought or saved the villge, but he did go to bankok and worked as a chef and learned martial arts which is inpiration in this film, then came to bollywood and became an action hero.

reply

Come on guys, Amitabh Bachchan went to a village and was listaken for a hunter in the Movie "Mr. Natwarlal". How many of us (except SRK Fans) can say that they hate the movie?
Give this movie a chance. If it entertains you enough... it has done its job... This is not "Gone with the Wind" or "Rashômon" so stop judging it by that standard. It is a mindless comedy and should be taken as one.

reply

His a comeic action fantasy films like Kungfu Panda or Hustle, but the reason this gets the criticism over the other two becauses its a bollywood movie.

Yodha was a remake of Little Buddha, holly wood flick. What made the film a success was music, comedy and Jagathy-Mohanlal combo. It scored the debut of AR Rahman. Directed by Sangeeth Sivan (Kya Kool hain hum)

South cinema, especially Malayalam cinema produces the best films in the country. The actors are more sharper and dedicated. Main stream hindi films are just like Masaledar chats, just timepass.
Hopefully very good films are made in bollywood for multiplex audience
If u still have doubt, ask Sharukh to remake Vanaprastham or Thaniyavarthanam

reply

little buddha came in 1993 and yodha in 1992 , i think yodha was slightly similar to GOLDEN CHILD though.

YODHA is one of my fav malayalam movies.perfect action comedy .

AND MOHANLAL ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS EVER..

reply

RE: abhishekrulez
So what if Mohanlal is fat? I bet your dad is fat and your mother is even fater :) He is still a much better actors then bollywood actors like SRK, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan etc. Bollywood fans are retarded, thats why the bollywood film production houses is still keeping making money of this type of movies.

reply

MOHANLAL RUUULLEEZZZ DUDE!
well if you watch the right movies you'll go nuts over his talent and versatility!
