People seem to focus on the fact that Amber didn't want to be with Thayer because of her social status. How about the fact that Thayer started to act creepy? I really wanted to like Thayer (and I did) but if he directed some of his weird behavior at me (his dark poems about her, following her, overdosing because of her rejection) I would have turned him away too. The guy was obsessed. Amber should have gotten him help because he seemed to be losing it.

he didn't overdose because of her rejection, she didn't even reject him. She betrayed him and spilled all his personal life to the whole school. Everyone though he was crazy. That was what probably drove him to keep doing drugs and he didn't mean to overdose it was a dumb feak accident.
