What was the most emotional scene for you?

I'd say when the kid brought Marky Mark the duck.

Sorry to say but I was not emotional at all during that movie. I respect that you were, but for me, this movie failed miserably in that department. I wanted to like this movie honestly, but the overly dramatic music, the excessive slo-mo sequences and the sheer unrealism of some sequences prevented me from connecting to any of the character here, unlike I did in recent war movies like Black Hawk Down and even Tears of The Sun.

Bill Foster: I'm the bad guy?...How did that happen?

In the movie: When he clutches the boy, kisses his head, and thanks the father.

Overall: The credits. It puts you so much closer to them as humans with babies, wives, and families instead of a CNN headline.

For me it was when Axe and Luttrell were the only two left, the dialogue between then at that moment and the non-verbal communication showing their love and loyalty as brothers was emotional.

I found the entire film to be very emotional. I found it very frustrating to see how political correctness influenced this mission. They could have either taken out or at least tied up the herders (who obviously had ties to the Taliban) and not only completed the mission, but more importantly, survived. They were right though, once the media got word of it, it'd be all over the news and they'd be portrayed as monsters. It's just frustrating - one side has a set of rules to go by while the other can do what it wants (with little condemnation in the media).

Mike's decision to call base - in the book Luttrell called that the bravest act he had ever witnessed. The movie did not show the part where Luttrell called home to speak with his mom, dad, and twin brother - in the book, I found that very moving.

For me, it was either the Chinook shoot-down or Axe's execution.

I've watched it twice, and only got choked up when Luttrell was safe at the end and they started to help him to the helicopter (altho he wasn't completely safe as his medical issues weren't over yet). I've always been a sucker for the cavalry riding in to save the day. I usually cry easily at movies, but maybe this one was too gruesome. So while I found it painful and sad, I didn't find it emotional. I did cry watching the special features where the families talked about their loved ones who had died.

Most emotional? To me it was the credits. When Peter Gabriel sings "Heroes" with pictures of the real soldiers flashed on the screen. Good flick.
