Just released in North America as 'The Diplomat' Surprisingly good!

This DVD surfaced out of nowhere and is now out in the U.S. and Canada. I was surprised at how good it was. It definitely is not "hollywood" style so probably that is why it didn't make much of a splash. The acting and characterizations are excellent. Also, it is not predictable but it is perhaps more realstic than other movies of this genre. Highly recommend.

I also felt it was a good movie, not what I expected. However as a feature length movie it could have cut down on few parts to avoid repetition (we can have both versions). The final act of the movie works very well. Dougray Scott gives an interesting performance and the Australian cast supports him well. My only problem was Richard Roxburg wasn't believable unlike Rachel Blake who is a real treat. I felt she carried the entire movie .
