Anyone else tired of them only casting Disney stars?

Starting with Camp Rock they've only made what I "Guaranteed DVD DCOM's"

Since HSM in 2006, every DCOM has been released on DVD. Before that you'd get one in a blue moon. Why? Because they had regular people in them. Not including future Disney stars as they were still nobodys at the time of casting.

HSM only had one Disney star, Ashley, which was fine. But now every DCOM has to have 6 Disney stars and a Disney parent.

2 stars is fine, but 6? Moises Arias, Jason Earles and Phill Lewis were the only actors who auditioned for their roles? I'd re-cast those 3 roles with

In Camp Rock Anna Maria Perez de Tagle was totally underused with her vocal quality. Nick and Kevin had no reason for even being in the film.

I kinda wish Joe would break off from them and do his own thing actually.

I mean I'm glad they got to act in a DCOM, but Emily Osment, David Henrie, Phill Lewis, Jason Earles and Moises Arias all got their first DCOM in the same DCOM.

I'd say Hatching Pete was fine as Mitchel and Jason were great as friends and Tiffany was fine too. Brian was perfect for his role.

I thought you would be happy with this maseratti. Shocking.

Just like you said, since HSM's success, Disney decided to go the cheap route and overuse they're stars in they're DCOMS, as well as making even less DCOMS to save money on promoting they're stars, as well as saving up for big budgets for they're HSM and Hannah Montana movies.

Yeah, I miss the good old days with Ryan Merriman!
When you see the same people all over Disney Channel, it gets old.

Yeah, Ryan Merriman, gotta love Smart House and Luck of the Irish, definitely two of the best older DCOMS.

I miss when Disney just made TV shows and DCOMS, not vehicles for their latest star. Those were all the good stuff, and the actors never tried to be anything more than actors on a Disney series - no one tried to be a huge pop star or make music. And they were all regular people who wore regular clothes - girls on any Disney show these days have to make a "fashion statement" with one crazy outfit after another (and no, I'm not just talking Harper from WOWP).

It would be nice if for once they just made a great movie with an entire cast of anonymous actors.

I wish the financial crisis could affect the Hannah Montana movies, though, instead of Narnia.

Otherwise, I agree that the Disney actors gets overused.

Yeah, I totally agree! The Camp Rock one was completely unnecessary, Kevin and Nick didnt have ANY use in the film...a waste

This film was really anticipated and I was really looking forward to it, what do i get? A girl who's dad is a comic book writer and thinks her dad doesnt know her and has some problem with the character following her around...then 4 or 5 random boys chasing him and then 2 mad hatters wanting to abduct him for a reason which was so dumb....

Its kind of getting boring now, i miss the days when you'd get new actors and it was much more interesting. But, now its just like Disney is like some clique, they dont let anyone new come in...it's like Gossip Girl it is just a cycle, they all date the same characters....it gets boring after a while!

Disney needs some new things in...its been like 5 years of this Disney Channel elite clique era..I'm getting bored of it now

From Walt Disney's own autobiography, he even stated that he did not want to hire actors who had all ready gained publicity, he wanted to cast children or people that enjoyed what they were doing. This is so it would look more natural. Disney has now become a HUGE closed shop industry like Hollywood. Not only do they save money by rehiring actors/actresses they have used, they also know that these actors/actresses will commit to roles. Many a time I have heard that there reason why the industry is so close shop is because they do not want to be wasting money on production when they pick someone new and they never show up. It is their version of "professionalism". Everyone wants to be an actor; however, they skew it in favor of the industry and not in the best interests of people.

Better watch out, better start crying. Better hurry up, run and hide. Krampus is coming to town! >:)
