Extreme's Hole Hearted or not?

My kid is watching this (seriously, he is, but I do like Pauly Shore, dude was hilarious in his day), and I have a question:

When the kids first leave on the trip with the gradnparents, the soundtrack has a song. The song has guitar that sounds very similar to Extreme's "Hole Hearted," but has a chick singing, and it sounds country.

Who is singing it, and is it a remake of Hole Hearted, or a clone/rip off?

I remember when Cars used that hickified version of Tom Cochrane's "Life Is a Highway," and it's disappointing that these movies are using these pseudo-country garbae remakes of original songs that would work fine on their own. Seriously, "Life Is a Highway" remade and autotuned by a country band? Oh, the horror.
