Wasting food

You would think that a tribe of cannibals would be hard up for fresh food, so why would they waste that womans body, and the bodies of their tribesmen (unless they don't eat their own kind?). Even the feet, legs and arms; why would they leave them laying around? And if I had been the last two, I sure as hell would not have gone ashore again after finding Bijous body. I watched the whole thing, but what wasn't boring, was stupid!
