Great character development

No matter how many times I watch this series, it never gets dull. I could watch it a million times and still be reduced to tears in the last episode... it was so sad! It's a shame this show never really got to develop, but I actually prefer it as a shorter series. Sure, the writers could have made a bit of a happier conclusion (rather than Owen's depressing "I'm not good enough for you" apology), but it was still fulfilling in a way.

Lila was extremely good-hearted and optimistic. Owen was so frustrating in his confusion, but the audience still empathised with him. I found Kate to be annoying to no end, but in the end she pulled through and really supported Lila. And Joe, despite being overlooked, was honest and humble - especially when he made the video to bring them all together.

Both the cast and characters were great for this.

...my only complaint is for Ash. ARGGHHHHH!??!?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING?!?!?! Ugh. Rant out.

Bury me with my guitar and all the way to hell I'll play.

I know!!
and it's amazing how quickly they managed to make you care about the characters!
wish they could have done more with it with another series or two... or three :)
and you're right, i'm still watching 3 years on and i haven't got sick of it

In a way I liked the whole anti-happy ending and the song at the end was sweet.

I wished she would have been happy with ash bt then it wouldnt have been entertaining without the triangles!

What YOU looking at?
