Does anyone know why they only included excerpts of "The Land of Hype and Glory", the Tom Snyder show, and the MTV unmasking? Why not show the full segment/interview? And why did they not include full concerts? Why only a few songs?
shareI was upset when I learned the shows were not full shows. I want the full Rio Creatures show. The full Lick it Up show, a full Animalize, Asylum, and Crazy Nights show. I thought Tommy's excuse for not putting in the full shows was weak. He said the songs had been done already. Hello? KISSOLOGY 1 shows were more or less the same songs. I e-mailed Bruce Kulick to let him know I thought it was disrespectful not to have the full shows. I loved that era of KISS with Bruce and Eric Carr. My first KISS show was the Crazy Nights tour in 1987. Bruce actually got back to me and said I understand how you feel but I have very little to do with what goes on the dvd. But he also did say he is proud of whatever footage they use. Bruce is an amazing guy. I haven't even watched KISSOLOGY 2 yet. I have been so busy working. But today I'm off. So all day it is me, some tall boys, and KISSOLOGY 2. My verdict to be posted at a later date.
shareWell Kiss fan,just remember my warning about that Crazy Nights show in my review. It's not the guys at their best really. I'm not disrespecting the guys,but I laughed more than I "rocked out".
The rest is okay with me. I can only guess they're not "full concerts" because they feel this wasn't as popular a time for KISS as the 1970s were.
The Hot In The Shade Tour more than makes up for it.
The concensus seems to be that the Hot in the Shade was the best show on there. I was upset at the incomplete God of Thunder on the Unmasked Sydney Australia 1980 show. I have the bonus Ritz NY 1988 DVD. Should be good.
