To Steve Miller (comment/review)

Hey thanks for the review on Rotten Tomatoes site. I appreciate you taking the time to not only watch my stuff but write a review on it. Anyways, i read your comment here on the FIST page, i can tell you right now the imdb.com "rating" system is a COMPLETE joke. for example, there is one person who "rated" the film as a non-US person.....it is impossible for them to have seen my film outside the US because (1) we have only played shows in Ohio & PA and only a handful of theatrical performances in these areas. (2) Screeners were ONLY sent to sales agents & distributors and only a small number at that...

I'm guessing some of these people watched SWAMP ZOMBIES or CURSE OF THE WOLF and decided just to "tank" the ratings of FIST. I also know a few local boobs that would tank it with a "1" just to make themselves feel better about their own crappy works. Hell, the board for ZOMBIEGEDDON (which my friend Chris Watson made) had some idiot posting a "1" like on a daily basis.....that's laying it on a tad bit thick i think. uh....imdb...DO SOMETHING!!!!

Now people can say "len, you're cast comes on and votes '10's on your films"....my response to that is this: learn the imdb rating system then. my "cast's votes" do not count in determining the ratings for each film, imdb.com prevents "vote stuffing" by not figuring in "cast votes"....

if they did "FIST" would right now be recieving a much more platable (and fair to me & my cast and crew) rating of about a 5.5 or 6/10.....the imdb rating system is a joke and this film along with several others are not getting a fair shake due to some trolls....

Thanks Steve!!!

p.s. Yes, we had one other person mention "the sparks" at the end. We didn't do a good enough job establishing the fact that the ending fights are in a "power plant" setting i think. You see an outside shot of the power plant but i think it was too brief and wasn't held long enough. I had actually numerous times told my editor to "tone down the sparks" but as you can see that didn't get done nearly enough in the final product....but yes, the sparks were meant to establish a "electric fence" around the fights kind of vibe, that just wasn't established well enough by us....

You must be pretty insecure about your releases if you feel you have to come on here and defend them!

As for the non US person rating your movie if it appears on torrent/warez sites then obviously anyone in the world can watch it so your argument is null!

Oh yeah some random guy in another country woke up one morning and decided to give a 1 rating to a random movie he's never seen. Screeners pop up on the net everyday as another poster pointed out.

Right! Everytime I see a sh!tty movie, I immediately log onto IMDB and rate an unrelated movie a "1".

Hell, the board for ZOMBIEGEDDON (which my friend Chris Watson made) had some idiot posting a "1" like on a daily basis.....that's laying it on a tad bit thick i think. uh....imdb...DO SOMETHING!!!!

Dude, I haven't seen your movie yet but so far ZOMBIEGEDDON is the worst horror movie I have ever seen. The company you keep, says alot about your movie.

Right! No possible way you, the cast & crew, and family and friends could open sock accounts and rate it.

Gawdamn, no one ever makes a sh!tty movie anymore. It's always some excuse. Hostel 2 was a pile of sh!t but hey that's not why it failed. Oh no, it was PIRACY!!!!!

haha. no, i'm quite confident none of the cast/crew/family wasted their time making "dummy accounts" so they can vote on an indie movie. that's HILARIOUS! i think internet chat room nerds do that kind of stuff.

well ZOMBIEGEDDON did get out EVERYWHERE (barnes n noble, best buy, etc.etc.) so for all the hate on the film....it got out there, so hats off to Mr. Watson there. I'm not saying ZOMBIEGEDDON is as good as FIST OF THE VAMPIRE, however, ZOMBIEGEDDON was Mr. Watson's first film. give him a break.....regardless, like it or not, it's out there and hat's off to him i know how hard it was for him to get that movie completed especially with a cast that large. good for him.

You are griping about ONE vote. What about the twenty two that voted 10? There aren't 22 people on this planet that think this piece of garbage is a 10.

well thanks for watching our stuff. you mad?

What is in my post that would lead you to believe I was mad. I got your "stuff" when I bought an 8 pack at Wal-Mart for $5.00. Like I said in another post on Curse of the Wolf, I wasn't expecting any Academy Award winning movies, neither was I expecting anything as bad as those two movies.

I do believe that some of your cast and crew voted 10's on both of those movies. Otherwise those two movies would be two of the lowest rated movies on IMDb.

If you value your time you can skip those two movies. They are, without a doubt the two worst movies I have ever seen. Of course people's tastes are different, but I don't see how anyone can enjoy those two pieces of garbage.

Thanks Kim. i agree. to me, movies like CURSE OF THE WOLF and FIST OF THE VAMPIRE (which i still like to this day and has PROVEN to be a worthwhile indie flick with numerous cable tv showings, still rents on netflix, etc etc) help me learn, grow, and hopefully make better movies in the future. Agreed on the Echo stuff as well...im sorry the r2626 dude didnt enojoy the flicks but for MILLIONS of indie flicks that dont get out there....we did....we still are...and will still be doing so in the future. SKULL FOREST will come out later this year and i think you can see big improvements in all areas of filmmaking....but thats not for me to say, thats hopefully for YOU to say when ya see it! thanks!

This r2626 dude still thinks those two movies are the worst he has ever seen. If the cast and crew hadn't voted them 10, they would be two of the lowest rated movies on IMDb.

That non-US person could have been visiting the U.S. and had the misfortune of viewing this joke of a film. As for your prediction that this film deserves a 5.5 or 6 rating, you are joking, right. The ONLY reason it is as high as it is is because of the cast and crew voting it a 10.

Ain't that the truth? Why do they do that? Do they think no one would actually SEE the movie and rate how terrible it was? Ugh - what a piece of crap.
