To Steve Miller (comment/review)
Hey thanks for the review on Rotten Tomatoes site. I appreciate you taking the time to not only watch my stuff but write a review on it. Anyways, i read your comment here on the FIST page, i can tell you right now the imdb.com "rating" system is a COMPLETE joke. for example, there is one person who "rated" the film as a non-US person.....it is impossible for them to have seen my film outside the US because (1) we have only played shows in Ohio & PA and only a handful of theatrical performances in these areas. (2) Screeners were ONLY sent to sales agents & distributors and only a small number at that...
I'm guessing some of these people watched SWAMP ZOMBIES or CURSE OF THE WOLF and decided just to "tank" the ratings of FIST. I also know a few local boobs that would tank it with a "1" just to make themselves feel better about their own crappy works. Hell, the board for ZOMBIEGEDDON (which my friend Chris Watson made) had some idiot posting a "1" like on a daily basis.....that's laying it on a tad bit thick i think. uh....imdb...DO SOMETHING!!!!
Now people can say "len, you're cast comes on and votes '10's on your films"....my response to that is this: learn the imdb rating system then. my "cast's votes" do not count in determining the ratings for each film, imdb.com prevents "vote stuffing" by not figuring in "cast votes"....
if they did "FIST" would right now be recieving a much more platable (and fair to me & my cast and crew) rating of about a 5.5 or 6/10.....the imdb rating system is a joke and this film along with several others are not getting a fair shake due to some trolls....
Thanks Steve!!!
p.s. Yes, we had one other person mention "the sparks" at the end. We didn't do a good enough job establishing the fact that the ending fights are in a "power plant" setting i think. You see an outside shot of the power plant but i think it was too brief and wasn't held long enough. I had actually numerous times told my editor to "tone down the sparks" but as you can see that didn't get done nearly enough in the final product....but yes, the sparks were meant to establish a "electric fence" around the fights kind of vibe, that just wasn't established well enough by us....
