Saw this last night... Interesting!

I saw this last night and was very confused and intrigued.

From what I gathered...

The 'plant' was starting to fight back after being tested on and drained of its sap for fuels (bio-fuel?) over several years. So now the plant is doing the same to humans at any chance. But the side effects is that the humans start to mutate somehow.

But the company involved in the project found out that the plant was giving off more sap/fuel after killing/draining humans, so they kept that a secret to the world.

Can someone tell me anything different/true about the story as I was pretty confused. But all in all the movie will make you think what this is all about but not in a stupid way.

I'm giving this movie 8/10 for it's try to make you think and not have it given to you. The dark tone and weird look the movie takes on. It's not faced paced but a sturdy walk through the unknown.

That is what I got out of it too. Also really enjoyed it and have started looking at other movies that are not as popular as a result.

People have complained about the pace, and I'm thinking, "as compared to what?" Is there a specific PACE movies have to be at? Eden Log is not dead stopped and not TRANSFORMERS... what is it supposed to be? It took you there, dropped you off and let you live in it almost real time. Pacing seemed perfect for me.
