The Girl's voice while masked.

Am I wrong or did the girl have a familiar man's voice when she was masked?

Were we supposed to assume the mask alters her voice like I assume the security guys masks do?

Yeah, the suit alters the voice of the occupant. But I think the woman's voice, while in the suit, was not supposed to sound like a man nor a woman. I think this was done simply to add mystery to the tone of the movie. It was supposed to make the audience ponder whether the person in the suit was a male or female. Hence, making the movie more mysterious.

You might recall that when he helped her out of the cell/cage through the ceiling, she looked down at the mask on the floor. I think she realized that there was no longer any point of hiding behind it, she had to be honest with him as to who she was. That is probably why she left the mask on the floor and went out without it.

Experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to...The Outer Limits

Thanks for the responses folks. I understood it added to the mystery and to the reveal that she was a woman but I'm just curious if anyone recognized the masked voice because to me it sounded like a man's voice that I've heard in another movie sometime somewhere but I just can't remember. Sort of like a Dejavu (to lazy to google the spelling) feeling when I heard the masked voice of hers.

It was a very innocent and helpful sounding voice that I can swear I've heard somewhere else before, maybe a movie with monks in it...idk just going through the files in my head trying to trigger my memory you know?

a few of the masked voices had familiarity to them. i think its just a result of the vocal/sound effects used to alter the voices. just like many low budget horror movies featuring demons have similar or literally the same voice for some of the demons you know?

its just a technology thing i think.

When she first rescued him, I was pretty sure she was female - until the voice.

sorry, I just watched this movie, and the masked woman
sounds like a woman. the voice is a little different
cause she is talking through the mask, but it still
sounds female.

I thought it was a man's voice when I heard it, but figured out before he took the mask off, that it was going to be a woman.

I thought it sounded a little like Joel David Moore's (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0601376/) voice. Looked it up and got nothing. I'm just going to assume he was uncredited because he has worked with a couple international directors and is a real name in the "indie population".
