Did you also enjoy "The Fountain" <http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414993/>;?
Not a horror film, but I hear many of the same criticisms and/or praises for the two movies' plots. So I am wondering if both movies appeal to the same fans.
For the most part, yes, I also enjoyed The Fountain....
But I liken my reaction to Eden Log much more to my initial reaction after seeing Aronfsky's film "Pi"...

shareI enjoyed The Fountain a lot. It's in many ways a simpler narration than Eden Log, but not any less deep, in my view. In fact, I think The Fountain is one of the best movies ever made.
Note that Eden Log is science fiction (rather solid, at that), while The Fountain is... defying genre. It's not fantasy, but it's not quite science fiction. And it's not something in between, either.

I've yet to complete Eden's Log. As for The Fountain, it was okay but I never became invested in it. Though respect it for pushing itself beyond the norm.
