This horror series could have been so much stronger. The actress playing the witch is freaky as fuck.
Unfortunately, they couldn't get the tone right, sometimes it's horror, sometimes it's comedy, sometimes it's like "It" with childhood friends reuniting. The main character is really unlikable too, she seems like a Dollar Store Lisbeth Salander (oh look at me, I'm so edgy!).
The changes in tone bothered me as well as the show went on. I wish it just stuck to horror.
I guess the writers felt there was a need for comedic relief.
Btw, what happened to Arnaud and Tonio in the end? Is that it, are they just gone? I don't remember the show getting back to them in the epilogue.
Agree with you. I tried to like this TV show, but I can't. Music ruins horror atmosphere mostly, making it more like a comedy than horror. It got some scary moments sometimes, but in general I couldn't take it seriously. And yes, main character seems like a selfish person. Remember how she tried to flirt with that guy (her old friend) who has wife and family? It's not only wrong, but disrespectful. Who does that?
