Oh my God...

I don't know how, but one day I'll watch this film. The best premise since Snakes on a Plane.

Just came here to say that we now have the natural successor for SOAP. Fantastic. Read about it in Empire Magazine!

Gondolas will die.

IMDb is not a fansite.

reply

Same, first time I bought that magazine in years and it yielded this gem of info.

I hope this is about the Venice in Italy, not the city in Florida. But Luiz Ruiz from Shark Attack 3 is in this so it has to be amazing.

reply

Yes, it's Venice in Italy. The teaser poster shows a shark's fin in the Grand Canal.

You're Perfect Yes It's True.... But Without Me You're Only You

reply

I hope this movie is as literal as the title makes it sound, because even though it's kind of ripping off the success of SOAP, I don't care, because it sounds AWESOME. :)

reply

When's it out?

reply

January 27, according to the one-sheet I got in the mail. Click here to see it:

please tell me that that is not a joke. this could be the greatest movie since shark attack 3...please

reply

Seriously! I got the flier from First Look Studios at the vidstore I manage.

They're advertising, among other things, the BluRay release of 'Immortal Ad Vitam' and 'Day of the Dead', and included the one-sheet picture for 'Sharks in Venice' coming to DVD January 27th.

Check their website:

reply

How the hell'd you get that in the mail?

reply

I manage a little video store in Seattle, I get mail every day from companies advertizing new releases. This one just caught my eye (great title!) so I thought I'd check IMDB for info.

This film was released in the UK today and it sucks ! Its a bizarre cross between Jaws & The Last Crusade, the sharks hardly feature at all and are completly pointless in regards to the story. Stephen Baldwin is hilariously bad although that should come as no surprise !

reply

Yeah, it is out in the UK now. you can even get hold of it on iTunes. Where were all the sharks though? There are hardly any on screen lol

reply

So there's not much of the shark?

Ah well, it still hope it's as terrifically bad as I'm expecting.

reply

As long as it's not "Night of the Sharks" bad. Horrible movie, even for Treat Williams.

this film is just so incredibly bad, it's beyond words. it's cheesy, with bad acting, ignorant cliches, a crap storyline, horrible editing, bad music and hilariously bad effects. even so, if you thought it sounds interesting, watch it. i laughed myself silly at times it was so bad.

reply

It is incredibly bad. Not sure it comes close to so-bad-its-good though. I'd recommend avoiding this one.

reply

The important question is: is it as bad as Raging Sharks??? :))

If so, it's a definite MUST SEE!!

reply

Did anyone notice that many of the supporting characters had names ripped from THE GODFATHER? There was a Clemenza and a Bonnosera, among others. Hilarious!

reply

How is this for a fantasy movie lineup???

Played in this order:

1. Sharks in Venice
2. Raging Sharks
3. Shark Zone
4. Shark Attack 2
5. Shark Attack 3

Thoughts? I believe this lineup could cause most normal people to slip into coma all while defecating on themselves!

reply

They need to make Sharks on a plane

I like it, but I prefer Sharks on a Boat. 'Cause when there's sharks on your boat, where you goin'? You goin' NOWHERE.
