It would have been a funny “cameo” to have Happy meet Foggy from a different universe, both played by Jon Favreau since he played Foggy in the 2003 Daredevil, which I imagine was in some level intended to be in the same universe as Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.
shareThey should have done that, I think the only problem is Faveau looks very different in 2021 than he did in 2003. But the MCU has done a great job making actors look like their earlier selves (Michael Douglas flashback, Robert Downey Jr. flashback, etc.) so I imagine they could have pulled it off with Favreau. Plus they'd have no problem shooting the Foggy cameo scene since he's already part of the movie cast.
The Ben Affleck DD movie was done by Fox so they couldn’t have taken place in the same universe back then. Of course, they have the ability to make it canon now.
