Dr. Pickman's phrase

Does anyone know the exact words to Pickman's phrase that he uses to shut down Lamb's brain?

"What seest thou else in the dark, backward and abysm of time?"

It's from a Shakespeare play called The Tempest.

What's the meaning of the phrase?

reply

Don't know. But I guess it could mean "What do you see in your dark past?" or something like that.

I think there are linears to The Tempest and Manhunt 2. The main theme of Tempest is justice from a unjust act. Prospero's brother takes his throne. Daniel had his life taken from him. Prospero enslaves and uses magic to get his justice. Daniel kills to get his justice. Prospero's justice is only good for him and then toward the end of the play, you become sympathtic to his cause. I feel that happens with Daniel. There is a lot blurring of reality in the Tempest as there are in Manhunt 2. Daniel has hallucinations and flashbacks. Sorry it's a little winded and I may be reaching, but that is what I feel.

Shakespeare was a straight-up O.G.

Would be funny if they got around to using Danny as an agent and he had to take out some guy in a theater that was playing The Tempest...
