Insane mode? What's that like? what different difficulties are there? I haven't played this yet.

Just Sane and Insane. Nothing in the middle. Playing the game on Sane right now and it's a touch too easy. They give you too many chances to restore your health and I'm thinking limiting this would instantly make the game more challenging.

Insane mode, as far as I can tell, is the exact same as Sane - without a minimap. It requires a bit more patience and peaking around corners. Its intended to be more challenging, but if you have already completed it on Sane mode...well you already know where the hunters are located. All in all, its a bit more difficult (though its nothing I would consider "insane", just more realistic).

Just finished the game on the Insane level. You don't unlock anything as far as I can tell.

I did get to play a secret level where you play as Leo inside Danny's mind and get to reclaim him, giving the game a pessimistic ending. I heard about this through the Wikipedia entry on Manhunt 2 and the way to unlock it seems to be to perform lots of level 3 executions and kill as many people as you can throughout the game.

The last two levels are particularly more difficult in the Insane mode just because it's easy to get lost and you don't get many clues, but it's a more fulfilling experience.

I got the same bonus level just by beating it on Sane mode. It shows up on the level menu when you go to 'relive episode,' and was called 'release therapy.'
