Cliche, cloying and utterly predictable.

No cliche was left unfilmed, including a "dog's eye view cam" randomly stuck in for no apparent reason. Janine Garofolo made the best of it, but really, she didn't have a chance with a script like this, churned out by the Lifetime script-o-matic.

Well it was written by a woman named Muffy, i think that says it all right there.

lol, made my day.

it's oookay for a tv production but that's not enough by far. i'm a sucker for romantic movies, even the cheesy ones but this isn't funny nor romantic nor a story that is plausible.

still getting a 4.5/10 for semi-entertainment value

I actually thought it was a bit witty for a Lifetime movie. I'm pretty sure Janeane ad-libbed a lot of her lines, and it actually made me laugh out loud a number of times.

This is always a problem with a Janeane Garofalo movie. She can make almost anything worth watching, but the films she does are really awful (for the most part).

Nadine in Dateland was horrible (an Oxygen movie), and this one wasn't much better.

Yeah, i love any character that Janeane Garofalo plays (even though it's always the same character) just because she brings such charm to the role, but when you look back on them they're often so unlikeable. All her films are so utterly watchable; the Matchmaker would have to be my favourite (i'm irish and biased); i love anything that takes the mick out of irish stereotypes.
