Jon Cryer shows up as Sylvia's blind date. The date does not go exactly as she would have liked, but leads to a pivotal moment in this amusing movie. Cryer, as Charles is very funny.

Was this cut from the DVD release. Just watched it last night and don't recall him or the scene described above.

No, it was in there; it probably just wasn't too memorable (that part, I mean). I just saw it today.

The movie that played on TMN had this complete scene in it. Since it does answer a coupe of key questions, I think you didn't see it, didn't notice it, or perhaps did not recognize John Cryer, any of which would surprise me.
