So I am pretty sure the only reason there was full frontal in this movie is because the director wanted to see these 2 hotties naked. Totally unnecessary to have it. This is a great storyline, but it was really badly executed. Pretty much Latter Days with dicks.

And I'm so tired of the typical sanitized sex scenes in movies, where people make love under the covers and get up clean and dry afterwards. In this particular case, I thought it was well-executed and I didn't find it exploitative at all. Besides, why go through the trouble of casting beautiful male leads who fall in love on screen and not have them get naked? I would've been insulted if they hadn't dropped trou.

I was shocked at the nudity - I didn't expect it. But it didn't offend me at all.
As to your assertion that the director wanted to see the stars naked...the scene played a role in the film, else it would've ended up on the cutting room floor

When is the nudity ever necessary for a movie? Pretty much all full frontal nudity in movies is superfluous. However, it makes it more realistic: when we have sex with people, we tend to see them naked, and in those instance they usually don't concern themselves with "covering up."
shareMy thing is why have nudity at all if it's not depicted in a truly realistic way. A pet peeve of mine is having unrealistic nudity in a love or sex scene. I hate when you see two guys who have been making out or are making out and you pan down to see the full frontal and they are not erect. Who makes out with someone you are really into and not get "excited". I know this may change the ratings to an R or even and X but I'm like don't even show the genitals if you are not going to be truthful to life. Just pan down low enough and let the view use his or her imagination.
