What was everyone involved thinking?!

I'm watching this right now, 40 minutes in.

I thought, okay it has bruce willis and john cusack, it's gotta be a decent movie with a high quality feel to it.

WOW was i wrong. I know i'm only 40minutes into it but when the film started with bruce willis and an explosion and then we don't see him for about 30 minutes and following Jason Patrick (which was a bad sign to begin with as he's never been the star of anything half decent) and his boring story line.

The music sounds like a fairly well produced porno. The acting in general feels like no-one knows what they're doing. Jason Patrick's daughter's friend is probably the WORST actress i've seen in a film with this many good actors. The script even feels like it's come from a porno.

It's that kind of film where when they get all serious about their loved ones being dead, you want to laugh because they're trying SO hard to be serious.

Anyway, i'll reserve whatever judgement is left for the rest of the movie. I just hope John Cusack can rescue it...


Quick edit. The car chase in the first 40 minutes.... terrible... the cliched gun shot sound effects was the worst thing. That made it feel like some really bad, low budget action movie where every actor in it is performing his/her first role
