John - Bear Attack

Ok, I hate to be critical of the people on this show, as they have already been through so much, but I'm going to anyway.

John, who was attacked by a black bear while walking his dogs, wasn't too bright. He kept fighting this starving bear, refusing to lay down because "the bear would rip out my soft tissue and I'd be dead". So instead he stays on his feet until he's mangled beyond recognition and falls down because he can no longer stand up. The minute he was down, the bear left him alone. If he'd just played dead in the first place, and lay on his stomach to protect his "soft tissue", he would have gotten through the whole incident without the horrific injuries he sustained.

At the end of the program, when he was giving the reasons why he survived, I expected him to acknowledge that he'd screwed up, but he didn't. Oh well...

Yea he was a moron. He thought he was a badass and bears weren't as tough as they seem on National Geographic.

Anyone stupid enough to walk your dogs at night in a place like that with just a flashlight got what he deserves..
I'd have enough weapons and ordnance on me to fight the Vietnam war over again in one night.. I might die, but I promise there will be nothing left of the bear or mountain lion by morning...
