Spoiler alert: They couldn't get results because she had used drugs, including cocaine, within the previous 3 to 5 days. So Dan wasn't able to get conclusive results from the polygraph machine. He did, however, perform some other assessments and deemed her completely un-credible; Dan actually said that everything she says is a lie and he wouldn't believe her about anything. But, since they couldn't get a clear polygraph score, the other sister left feeling the same way she did when she got there – frustrated and with no answers.
My own opinion is that the sister didn't "kill" her sister but she didn't do anything to save her because she was afraid of getting arrested herself. Had she, or anyone, gotten medical help for the sister, I don't think she would've died.
