Real Fight, Real Karate, Real Japan. ? im afraid maybe in fairy tale

fight cerographyis nice, but the story totally unoriginal and with no direction, the last fight, so he wins the fight means all gangster and currupter officer will stand there in line and awe at him? there are like more than 10 guys, what ever style u have u can dodge bullets from 10 guys...

fight cerography is decent but certainly NOT REAL, its a movie of fiction for god sake....zzz... not a documentary...
in reality gangster dont fight one on one they kick sand at u and gang up on u like a rugby ball....

story plot not original there are countless movies with such hero vs bad guy who used to be good guy best pal. movie, which hero ALWAYS WIN....ALWAYS...same as any fairy tale book.

story direction ...failed... its not even heading anywhere, just an excuse to for those 2 fella to show off and promotes karate as a tool to destroy and conquer the weak.

Please learn to spell.

ugh the grammer police lol. seriously just grade your students papers if you wanna correct grammer, spelling, or anythig else. lol your like the 15th person I found on this site (in 1 hour) that complains about another persons writing.

reply

Wow... dude im no grammar police personally, but you got to admit the original poster spelling is totally awfull and hard to read. Im a french speaker by birth, i do a lot of english grammar and spelling mistakes, because i speak english since not long ago...yet im far from that guys spelling...

As for the OP's subject... lets say that yeah the movie seemed a bit "yeah right" in term of the army and gangsters standing still... but i guess the tag line was more reffering to the fights

reply

Yeah, after rereading the post, I will agree, it is really bad. Lol
As for the movie, It was pretty bad.

reply

What do you have to do with the movie? So what if you were bad? Were you in it?

edited, read it again.

reply

Would you say it's bad because it's not about comic book characters, or because the fighting didn't involve wires?

reply

eh as a whole it was just so lack luster, the fighting was not well choreographed, the story was and acting is pretty bad.i honestly cannot tell you specifics, since it has been a while since i seen this and it is mostly forgettable. All i can say is that is was not something i liked. and what does comic book characters have to do with this? Is it based off of one?

Have you mastered a traditional form of Karate?

reply

nope, don't care to.

So to say that the choreography was off... Could it be that you just don't know what you're talking about? Perhaps someone who knows what they are watching would enjoy it?

reply

lol No, you are wrong.
What's wrong with the choreography is that it was way too staged and fake lookling, not well acted. also, one does not need to be a "master" at karate to enjoy a movie. Also before you make assumptions I train in many style but master none, it is my belief that no one can "master" a given style, you continue to learn and you never "master" it.
I am done with this discussion.

reply

Do you train in many styles because you aren't good enough to master one?

If you don't understand what is happening in the movie, and pass it off as poor choreography, could it not be construed that there are too many subtle, intricate things happening for your untrained eye to catch? Someone who doesn't understand what is happening may pass it off as wrong, flawed, or "fake". Yet someone who understands what he is seeing may appreciate its beauty.

Maybe it isn't the movie that is wrong at all. Maybe it's you?

Yes, good. Run away from something that puzzles you. Like your inability to focus on one art and gain its wisdom and knowledge, you leave now when your abilities and judgements are called into question, blinding yourself from the truth.

Truly, a creature to be pitied.

The karate in this movie was impressive sans the sleeper holds, as was the cinematography. The story however was not. Characters too, were one-dimensional and behaved silly. It felt like watching a martial arts school show with really long boring breaks.

I expected this movie to be more like Samurai Fiction, now that one has none of those negatives, although the fights might be a bit less realistic.

The fight choreogrpahy in this film is better and more real than most Hollywood movies. If not all of them.
Because this is made by the leading martial artists themselves.
