Hope it's better than the second one

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the second Q&A but it wasn't as good as his first one. Wonder where they're filming the next set. It'd be better, IMO, to go around to the Universities again, not the same ones necessarily, and it doesn't necessarily have to be in the States either.

It was shot in Red Bank, New Jersey on Kevin Smith's birthday.

The first was definitely better. I think this is because they cut between several different Q&A's at different locations, so they could pick the best from each. Whereas in Evening 2, it was basically one long Q&A, so there were lulls and sme less interesting questions. That's what makes me reluctant to get too excited about Evening 3, since it is again just one Q&A.

also, im sure he broke out all his best stories in the first one, so now he can only really talk about stuff that has happened since the last Q&A, or scrape the bottom of the barrel for some less-than-"A" material.

I DO like both 1 & 2, but 1 was definitely superior.

Very true.

As well, Evening 1 was essentially his entire career up to that point. Evening 2 was what .. 3 years later? Not ALLLL that much happened in that time hence why I thought it was a letdown from the first (even though I enjoyed 2 very much). My fear is that Evening 3 will follow the same path. It will be less than 2 years since the last one.

I think the reason the first was so good was that there was a lot of history to cover (childhood, 5 movies, education in BC, etc, etc). Whats evening 3 going to be about? Die Hard 4? lol

Anywho, because its Kevin Smith, I will watch it and probably be entertained but I fear it wont be as good as the other two.

I agree with all posts on here.
I hope that maybe there are some better questions too- I know a lot relies on Kevin to give great answers, but if anyone who was there could tell us how it was, how the questions were- it'd be great.

I was at the Toronto Q&A that was on the 2nd dvd, and it was 4 hours of hi-liarity. Alot of the ongoing jokes though the show were cut out, and so was the audience interactions that really made the evening phenominal. Instead it was just questions and answers with no real flow....

I was there too. Found him to be a bit of an ass, like he was having a bad day

I thought the Canadian QA was great, but the English one wasn't as interesting.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the English one too, especially the blonde girl that worked at Forbidden Planet, she was quite the cutie. I guess I didn't find it as interesting because a lot of the stuff he talked about I had already heard or read from other places. Like the whole thing about the British press and Jersey Girl, he said the same thing almost verbatim on the Jersey Girl DVD commentary, and the Green Hornet stuff has been gone over quite a bit on his website.

On the Canadian disc, I really enjoyed his riff on kids shows, the reaction of Prince to his first QA, and the Tim Horton stuff. But it was all new to me, so that's probably the big difference.

It is, but it goes without saying that it's not as good as the first... 'Evening Harder' is the weak link.
