Inspiring

Loved this documentary. While there's been a lot of negative press lately about mixed race adoption, I think this shows the benefits of being adopted into a family that just wants and is willing to work towards raising a child no matter the background and during any hardship that might come along. I also loved how the main character worried that her family was falling apart, but it really wasn't. She was going through a crazy amount of turmoil, larger than the average teenager already has to deal with, but her family was there waiting all along, ready for her when she had finally figured out some of her demons. Though not perfect (the strange moments of blank space in the middle of the film- but maybe that was netflix?), the clear thing about this documentary was the importance of being raised in a supportive, unconditionally loving family.
