Ripoff ?

Did anyone notice the background score(especially during the beginning of the movie)was a direct ripoff from the background score of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone ?

And what with Richard Griffiths & Gemma Jones being in the movie, I felt I was watching Hermione having a tea party with Vernon Dursley & Madam Pomfrey !

You might be hard pressed to find good English actors who haven't been in one of the Potter films.

Too bad. It's gone now.

no, i thought that it was a ripoff (or maybe just strange remix) of the sugar plum fairy, which makes sense, as the nutcracker is a ballet

reply

It's the Sugarplum Fairy or whatever it's called. From the Nutcracker, not HP...

The correct name is "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker." It makes more sense to say the HP theme, "Hedwig's Theme", is the rip-off.

I guess the OP isn't familiar with classical music.
