IMDb call it a Film...
It's not, it's a television movie, and was first broadcast on the BBC... how come it's suddenly switched categories?

Really??? How did it do?

Yes. It was shown at 171 theaters across the U.S. for the last week in August. I haven't been able to find out its box office figures as yet however. By comparison "December Boys" was shown at 13 theaters for a week or two.

imdb bases the title on the first screening so this should be "ballet shoes (2007) (TV)". some knobjockey just submitted a correction because of the american release, and it slipped through cos, let's face it, this isn't an important project to the imdb...
*You're not listening to me. There are other things that need to be taken into account here*
How do you submit a correction which changes it's status? I thought you had to delete it and create a whole new project.

you do it as a title correction - i already did. even if it gets changed, knowing my luck it'll probably go back...
It's also been released on dvd here in the united states
shareWho cares? What's the fine distinction between a film and a TV film, they're still films? I have it on DVD, does that make it a "film"?
sharedude, chill the out. I never said that it wasn't a film I was simply replying to the OP. A TV film and a Cinema film, to me still equals a film regardless. I never said it wasn't.

"TV movie" probably gets a bad label though. Like "Lifetime original movie"?
Then again, anyone that fussy or stuck-up wasn't going to give this movie (much of) a chance. There are terrible films that are released into theatres and those require at least $10 a person to see it.
Oh I know that. I totally feel you on that. I like certain life-time movies. Actually some of them are REALLY good. But I totally see what you're saying, and I agree
