I agree! It would be cool to have BBC. Then we wouldn't have to wait 2 years for "Spooks".

I loved this book when I was young. I hope I get to see this adaption some day

And YouTube? Really, the quality of the film is probably going to go down. You won't be able to enjoy areas that are dark green from black due to compression unless it's high quality. I guess there wasn't a big enough fan to torrent it.

piss-poor is right! The closest we come to some good tv viewing is when the abc puts on a rare show. (ie-robin hood) pitful it is. VERY pitiful!

Actually, there are a few region 4 DVD players which will also play region 2 (UK) right out of the box - my old Panasonic DVD player did. Failing that, some cheaper brands, like TEAC, can be changed to multi-region using a code you can look up online. I'm sure you'll find something if you google it, but if I remember correctly, the Dick Smith website provided the codes for those DVD players they sold which could be converted to multi-region. However, it was a couple of years ago I was looking into this, so not sure if it's still current.

Yeah ours plays multi-region with a crack code. We got it about 6 years ago though.
