I don't even consider the film overly woke. It is just bad. The original is a timeless masterpiece. Was a steep drop-off with reloaded, and the sequels get progressively worse.

I thought the Wachowski's were determined to try and salvage their creative reputation with this latest sequel and I was hoping they would succeed, because they made The Matrix, and The Matrix was an iconic movie. Instead, it appears this latest installment was just a cheap money grab. Well, I hope their newfound wealth makes them happy for the rest of their lives, as they will forever be remembered as one-hit wonders instead of great artists.
You think that's bad? Wait for the sequel where Neo dies and Trinity becomes the ONE. It's gonna be called, Matrix: dark fate
Or perhaps Matrix: the last Jedi - lol
