On how Neo and Trinity return..

I think the Machine World resurrects Neo and Trinity as there is a new threat, and they are tasked to deal with the threat.

My initial comment was something to do with time travel, because Morpheus always mentioned he believed Neo was a reincarnated version of the guy who freed him, but now I'm not so sure.

I like your idea of the machines asking for help. Last we saw, humanity was going to be given a choice. I can see some staying in the Matrix and some going in the real world. No real reason for humans to go to war over that; nor would they pose a threat to the machines. So a machine from within the Matrix that the machines can't handle, I can see that.

My guess is they return as programs, both Neo and Trinity's bodies were recovered in 01 - the Machine City at the end of Revolutions, and could easily be integrated into the Matrix, where they will exist in the new movie.

I could be wrong but that's my theory.

A Matrix within a Matrix.

Reincarnated as a butterfly.

Sugar, baby...

Neo might be the architect is my theory.

You might actually be right. How the hell did he have super powers outside of the matrix in the revolutions lol

thanks! this new movie will just further complicate the time line and retcon previous movies. I dont see how it can anything new to the franchise.

Trin was killed outside the matrix.

It's prequel.

reply

Maybe it's prequel masquerading as a sequel. That will be a reveal at the end.

We see an old Niobe in the latest trailer. Many decades have passed.

What the heck is 'Machine World', and why would you capitalize it?

(I am not expert on the so-called 'sequels', so if it's explained there, I don't care anymore)

How do you 'resurrect' someone that is dead? I mean, machines or not, those souls are long gone. They're no longer incarnated to physical bodies and plugged into The Matrix. How do you 'resurrect' something like that? (Actually, 'resurrection' is an impossibility in itself, so the word shouldn't even exist, but that's how knowledgeable about reality (the very thing they try to depict and build stories around) these brothers are..)

What 'new threat', by the way? How can anything beyond the physical world be a threat to a completely software-based world, besides a virus or something?

Your reasoning is completely illogical.

What the !@%"# does time travel have to do with incarnations or reincarnations?

Unless you mean, they go back to the past to talk to the 'guy'. How did that man that could reshape The Matrix as he sees fit die, by the way? Why didn't he just liberate everyone and destroy The Matrix, if that was something he can do in a future incarnation anyway?

Nothing really makes sense if you think about it, so it doesn't really matter what convoluted crap of an excuse they have for having Keanu and that hag play those same roles again.

Neo going to a shrink is just so stupid, just by the way.. really, really stupid. It's like Superman sitting on a couch, apologizing his existence to some fema-fascist ballbusting emasculator. Makes no sense, but I don't expect this movie to, either.

My guess is they either don't explain it, or it's something really stupid, nothing as good as 'The Matrix' was.
