Dumb, Dumb, Dumb

I really like independent cinema, and cheer for it, and then this clunker of a flick comes along, giving the long-suffering independent film community a very bad name. This is a film that has to be seen to appreciate how awful it is. I believe it wants to be "light," or even "comedic" to relieve its unrelenting tedium and pointlessness, but there isn't a single MOMENT that is even remotely amusing.

The dialogue sounds like it was written in a detention room of your nearest junior high school. Even the premise (guy wants to get his book published; it's about stick figures trying to enter the "regular" world) is feeble. "I see God as a lonely stick figure," is approximately a fragment of the dialogue. Egads.

There are a lot of extremely talented independent filmmakers out there who can't get funding for their projects. How in the world did this piece of drivel attract ANY capital?

I must say that there are several beautiful women in this flick. So that's SOMETHING, I guess.
