Partial nudity in a PG-13 movie?

Sounds like the MPAA is getting softer with their ratings.

It's not possible to have a mature conversation with a Dimwit. Everyone knows that. Except Dimwits.

No, all the had were people's butts, and another scene (that really had no nudity. But, i've seen worse in a PG-13

Last Seen in Thearters
Fired Up 7.5/10
DVD
Wanted 8/10

Titanic was PG 13 right. It had full frontal nudity.

It also helps that it's done artistically.

Its posted on imdb that Titanic is rated PG-13. Took me all of 10 seconds to check.

there are no ACTUAL guidelines the MPAA follows when it comes to language/nudity/violence etc in a movie.
What you're saying is occasionally true when it comes to swears - but more often that not, you can drop an F-Bomb 2 or 3 times in a PG-13 movie and it's okay. Unless it's sexual, in which case they NORMALLY go R-rated. Although I've seen them drop sexual F-Bombs in PG-13 as well (Johnny Depp says it in Secret Window, for example)
As far as other swears, obviously saying things like *beep* would get it an R rating almost automatically. S**t is passed off pretty easily in most PG-13 movies these days. But, then again, it depends on when a movie was made. Grease is old, and they say s**t, ti*s, and pu**y and that was okay back then for a PG rating, because that's what they had - and it's far too mild for an R rating. Times they are a-changin'.
Personally, I hate the ratings system and they should just do away with it all together. Then film studios wouldn't have to take what could be a great R rated action movie *cough*Terminator:Salvation*cough* or horror movie *cough*Drag Me To Hell*cough* and make them into what are probably going to be less-than-amazing films with PG-13 ratings just to bring in the big bucks.

And speaking of big bucks, how is it, RCFan that you don't know the rating on the biggest movie in the history of film?

reply

sayin FV€K in a PG-13 movie once is a very strict rule and Secret Window was a horror movie so that isnt surprising. you cannot compare anything from old movies like Grease to movies nowadays when it comes to ratings and you are and idiot for thinking the rating system should be done away with. in fact i think everything you wrote was retarded and pointless, especially that "cough" crap. definitely not funny.

Where I live, even all the American pie movies are PG-13. And South park is rated 6, wich means "appropriate for six years and older". We really don't give a damn about nudity and cussing. Voilence and gore is the only thing that can give an R rating to a movie.
Why can't a PG-13 movie show breasts. It's only human. It's like breastfeeding, we don't say "Oh no, I'm not gonna let my kid do that, he's way to young to see a breast." Ridicules !

Its an american standard that doesn't make any sense, I know. As an american, I can say that half the things we do make no sense.

Like theatres banning "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" simply because it had the word Porno in the title, but not banning movies like Hostel 2 which shows a mans genitles removed...yuck.

Who was the actress in the scene?

reply

Planet of the Apes (1968) was rated G and showed Charleton Heston's butt.

I don't think it focused on the nudity, and it was fleeting if at all noticeableSource:Fired up - Movie Reviewshttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/09/movie-reviews-for-fired-up
