Sometimes doing the wrong thing is the right thing

The shrink said that. And of course, the important point is "sometimes". For somebody like him, in an unhappy marriage, wouldn't sometimes doing the wrong thing be the right thing?

What do you make of this statement? Was it the stupidest thing he said as a therapist or the only thing that made any sense?
