I must agree with whoever said Josh Peck was in this movie to avoid typecasting. But you know what? I would rather Josh got 100% typecast.
His talent is in goofy comedy. His funny voice changes. His funny faces. I don't want to see any Josh Peck movie where he isn't the good old Josh from Drake & Josh..
To be honest.. he shouldn't have even lost weight.. his nice guy, John Goodman lookalike character what what gave him his personality.
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! This movie was amazing JUST because of Peck. He was just so great in this. HE is a GREAT dramatic actor, did you see him in Mean Creek? He was really young, and before he lost the weight, but great dramatic character. Now that he's in shape, he's just that much hotter. Sure Drake and Josh was fun, but I doubt it's what he'd want to do the rest of his life. I would love to see him in more roles like this.

I don't see JACK BLACK complaining and wishing to do serious roles. And honest, he is the ONLY comedian around that's actually funny. Josh is really funny too, and if he doesn't want to acknowledge himself as a comedian, it will be surely a loss.
I wasn't referring to comedy in general, I mean drake and josh the show. I'm sure he'd like to move on from that. He's a great dramatic actor,yeah he's funny too, but I'd like to see him do more dramatic roles
shareOk, I submit. I agree with you that he's a great actor and can pull dramatic roles well. After watching the movie a painfully second time I just think my problem is with the movie itself. It was all too bland and on consequence Josh was bland. Not his fault.
Actually I wanted to see Josh in a better dramatic role. The Wackness seemed just like a "Hey, I'm Josh Peck and I'm different from Josh Nichols. See that I can be hot and have sex scenes".
I would like to see him in some sci-fi too.
