Anyone Else?

anyone else tired of all the saw rip-offs? hell, im even tired of saw.

im glad to see james gunn working again, but come on, do something more original.

reply

That's funny. I'm tired of Saw too. So a Saw rip-off doesn't excite me.

Still, I think James is one of the best writers out there. And I think he will write a better script than any Saw.

But if he's going to do something unoriginal, let it be a sequal to his Dawn Of The Dead remake. Teaming up with Zack Snyder again. The chemistry between those 2 is explosive!

Lol, me to. I was walking through my local superMarket and noticed they had a copy of Saw (part 1). I really loved the movie when it came out (actually before it came out, here in the Netherlands I had a English dvd so that was before the hype). anyhow all this hype around the movie and it's *beep* sequels really make me sick of this (then perfect) movie.

I won't give any judgement on this movie yet though, I love Slither, so this gets the benefit of the doubt.

This doesn't sound like a Saw rip-off to me. If you're going to say that every movie about people who are forced to kill/hurt others is like Saw, then you could stretch it even further and say that Saw ripped off Se7en. So, let it go.

I agree with Viper. Also, maybe it's just the inclusion of the word "Experiment" in the title, but this made me think of Stanley Milgram's experiment with people being coerced into "electrocuting" others as well as the Stanford Prison Experiment rather than other movies that may have been based on the same events.

I was thinking Battle Royale meets Office Space. 2 movies I love. So this looks like an interesting mashup.

I can't help but think of the scene in Office Space where the employees says he wants to show the Woman his "O Face"!
