This is not original but could be good if well executed

I cannot even name the number of movies where people are stuck in a room, building, creepy mansion, Secluded Island or other place to fight to the death. Yes Battle Royale is the best executed of these films. I have to give a nod to Cube, Saw, Circle, The House of 9, The Condemned, The Collector, etc.

I am just hoping the script is good and this is executed well. If this is done properly, it could be a fun movie. It is essentially and Action/Survival horror movie without zombies/monsters.

I just saw the trailer on YouTube and don't even know when this is going to be released. I am hoping this makes the most out of this premise. All the examples I listed above did something different with a very similar premise and made them unique. However, I think there is room to make this into more of a fun action movies with violence of course.

Thanks as a big fan of the manga battle royale and also the film I can wait to see what kind of new direction they go with this movie. Something twisty and lots of action.

I really liked it the story and set up were interesting as was the "larger event" ending. glad i got this on itunes.

Yeah, it's kinda fun for the violence of it but I heard it was also going to be like Office Space and I didn't see much of that. It's pretty good though.
