Ok... In my honest opinion, when I first saw the trailer, and even now, I thought it looked a lot like Lionheart. But that's it. I don't know much about the movie, I don't care to know about it, I think it looks like crap honestly. Now about the other comparisons to the other movies....

I've never seen the Gladiator you guys mentioned (the one without Crowe)

It has pretty much nothing in common with Never Back Down, aside from it possibly sucking, like NBD did... Big time.

Snatch and Fight Club... If anyone thinks this movie is a rip off or has something in common with either movie, you should be thrown off a bridge. Especially if you think it's a rip off of Fight Club. Fight Club is just... So far beyond this movie, as is Snatch.

Fight Club was about social anarchy not fighting really. The Fight Club Tyler Durden set up was just a way to attract and indoctrinate people.

Being hit by someone in a moving car is no basis for a relationship.

i haven't seen all that many fighting movies but i did see never back down and the trailer for this movie made me think it was a sequel to it. then i realized it was just a rip off from it.

Unfortunately, it's hard to find a movie board where people aren't complaining about something. Sometimes it's a legitimate movie gripe, but way more often it's a case of low intelligence/lack of comprehension or people just wanting to hear themselves talk. People are never satisfied. I haven't seen this movie yet, but it's blatantly obvious from the synopsis, pictures, tone and setting that it is nothing at all like Gladiator apart from the fact that it contains fighting/violence, like about 60-70% of the movies out there.

I really liked Gladiator....that really is a forgotten movie. Maybe because it's just fun to watch once and then you forget about it. There's a market for that type of sh#t and an audience for it and I guess that would include me.

I loved the original gladiator as well. I think it was good because of the acting. Much better than that in these other fight movies. Its sad a lot of people missed out on that one. I still pop it in once every year or so.

Count me in! I loved that movie. I watch it every so often and I even listen to the soundtrack from time to time.

I saw it in the theater when it opened. And they gave the audience the soundtrack cd.

I find it hard to believe that there's people who can put Fight Club, Snatch, Gladiator or Lionheart in the same sentence as Never Back Down as if they had anything in common.

This movie is just for teenagers. Guys will like the violence and girls will watch it for the so called 'hot guys'. With MMA being so popular why not make money out of it for the younger crowds?
