Music score--LIfe is Beautiful?

Did anyone hear the strands of music that were also in Life is Beautiful? Was the score done by Angelo Giovabnoli just his own music that sounded like his score from Life is Beautiful....or was the music a previously composed piece. Whenever there were idyllic shots of the coast, showing Bonnaire on her bike or just showing waves in the sea, the music was the haunting style "this must be love' music that played so often in LIfe is Beautiful representing Guido's love for the princess

The major theme of the score is the secondary theme of Gershwin's song "Someone to Watch Over Me". Check out the verse that starts "I'd like, to add his initial to my monogram":

What this has to do with the movie's soundtrack? I see no similarity.

I watched the film four years ago, when I wrote that post. I don't recall the score now but while I was watching it that tune (section of song) stood out very clearly to me.

I thought the same thing you did--that the score sounded so similar to Life is Beautiful. It was even more pronounced because the music was played over her riding her bike just like when Guido rode his bike in Life is Beautiful before he'd run into, literally, Dora.
