Pretentious Drivel

I've never liked and then disliked a film so much in my life. The first 75 minutes of this film is outstanding. After that it becomes a flabby and contrived piece of tripe. The ending is so utterly worthless that it sent me from the theatres ranting. This is terrible and pretentious filmmaking at its most terrible and pretentious. Avoid this film at all costs.

You can't say you liked half the film and then tell people to avoid it at all costs. The film does have two different styles to it, the first part being a viewer friendly quirky comedy which I thought was well made. The second part is art-house storytelling both visually and in narrative, and it is also very well made, in the end, both parts don't really go well together, so I'm gonna say it's so in quality, but the story really got to me, especially the ending since I fell in love with the characters. Also, this is not pretentious film making, at all, it was actually well received in México, and that's a very commercial market.
