I can tell you a few:
It's Just Begun, by Jimmy Castor
Take Me To The Mardi Gras, Bob James
Apache, Incredible Bongo Band
These songs were Heavily sampled stuff in 80s hip hop.

I'd love to know what they play during the Times Square/42nd Street part early in the documentary (9 minutes in). It's got snake rattles and disco violins.
Generally, I'd like to find (mainly instrumental) music that sounds just like that, but I don't know where to go look for it. I call it "Sleaze Funk" myself, although if I plug that into a search engine not many appropriate results will show up, quite obviously. :)
If you know the intro to Tina Turner's version of "Whole Lotta Love" or "Girl You Move Me" by Cane & Able you know exactly the urban wah-wah heavy, trippy stripper sound I'm talking about.

By the way, great info ec1979 and gabesaysrelax!
