Juicy!

For a BR fan like me this was a real treat. The only thing i missed was Vangelis appearance. I gobbled the whole three and a half hour of it in one take!

Wayyyy toooo loooong. C mon, docs should be no more than 2 hours, maybe 2 1/2. but this was too much. i skipped a couple of the chapters just cuz they got boring really fast. like the one where they interviewed every single unknown person from the art dept. i didnt understand that, i was like, get me harrison on screen to say something, some advice from ridley scott, some funny commentary by hampton fancher the writer. who cares about assistant art director or some s hit like that.

Well I'm completely with lhaymehr on this one.

I loved it and was interested throughout. I guess it could have been tiresome but there is no doubt that it is now the definitive documentary. Every detail was covered so that people couldn't wine and be left wanting more.

Odd, must have been a cut down version. I've got it up in front of me right now on the DVD, and it clocks in at 3 hrs, 33 min and 57 sec.

As to that one guy moaning that it was too long? I wasn't aware there was a rule as to how long a behind the scenes documentary was supposed to be. Personally, I would have happily sat through another 3 1/2 hours given that I found what everyone had to say extremely interesting. As a matter of fact I'm just finishing up a marathon of all 4 commentaries on the 5-disc set, also loaded with interesting stuff. If anything, most such features are annoyingly brief a lot of the time, I found the depth of this documentary quite refreshing and a real treat.

Blade Runner is most definitely a movie worthy of having such in-depth treatment. But it sounds like he wasn't the type who is really interested in behind the scenes stuff, just fluff-filled interviews with the principle cast.

Best Making Of documentary I've ever seen for a film. I relished every minute of it and have watched it a few times since getting the big collector's set in 2007. I was surprised by the lack of William Sanderson, though, and wish there was some vintage interview footage of Brion James, but otherwise, I was not disappointed with this. Fantastic documentary!
