This Movie Blows - don't waste your money

My kids were restless, I felt like a zombie watching it. This was THE WORST kids movie I've seen in 7 years (since I've had kids) SOOO BORING...don't spend your money!

You are so right, everyone is entitled to their opinion. In my opinion, DON'T spend $7.50 to go see this movie. Check around with your friends. All my friends thought it was awful as well. Or at least, do a one parent-movie. You'll be PO'ed if you both spend money going to see it! The kids MIGHT enjoy it, but I can't see many adults thinking it is just "so cute" and "too funny" I expected UP! to be "ehhh" but it beats this movie BY MILES...Heck, an episode of Blues Clues (with Joe nonetheless) beats this movie by miles!!

me too!

My partner loved it, but I didn't think much of it, and nodded off TWICE, which I never do at the cinema! :/

reply

I usually like pretty much any movie i see but man this one really put that to the test. Other then scrat i didnt find this funny at all, just a bunch of dinosaurs walking for an hour. BORING!

reply

Ymous, I agree with you. If it weren't for the prehistoric squirrels, this movie would have been 100% dull. I gave it 3/10 only because of Scrat. It was deadly boring.

Well, I wasn't expecting much since our local paper didn't exactly give it a ringing endorsement but I promised my daughters we would go see it so there was no backing out. Our family of 4 enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm not sure where I'd rank it it compared to the other 2 but I'll definitely get it for the kids when it comes out on video. Only thing that was a let down was the 3d effects. Don't bother with that version.

Here in New York, the tickets for Ice Age were $16.00. That's a damn joke. I was going to take my wife, myself (of course), and my two kids. Kids tickets were $12.50. That's $57. for a movie. When you include transportation, popcorn, and soda. That's steep.

I told my family, were not going to see that crap. We went somewhere else, and when we came home, we enjoyed Ice Age 3, in the comforts of are own home. Hey, at least I tried to go see it. This 3D crap, is just an excuse to raise the ticket price. Because more and more movies are going 3D.

Ice Age 3 is forgettable chewing gum for retards.

ALWAYS outnumbered but NEVER outgunned

reply

Okay....this is way to harsh but okay...I don't like those guys too but I wouldn't talk to them the way you do....
anyway...I didn't really like this movie too... The best thing about it was scrat and his 'wife' :D but the rest of the guys were just lame...the 3D thing really was crappy!

GOD ur so naive! u think that in poor countries people spend their time and money going to the movies to see whatever comes up so they can later decide if it was worth it or not?(sorry for my spelling) i would say that outside of the US people download all kinds of movies and JUST go the the cinema to see the ones they're really anxious about...

and actually this kind of attitude(steels money from the industry WELL THANK GOD!!!) makes u less laughable, and u know why? BECAUSE U GO TO SEE ALL KINDS OF CRAP IN THE THEATER and then say stuff like 'well i saw it with my girl and then i went with my friends and then i went with my whole family and still the movie sucks' well guess what as far as they know U JUST LOVED IT!! because u support them with ur money!! i mean how silly is it for everyone to say transformers2 suck after they've seen it twice(or more)in the movie theater? it will still create a lot of profit, so dont u ever complain about transformers2, fantastic four 2, indiana jones and the crappy skull, fast & furious 3 and so on BECAUSE U WILL SEE IT ANYWAY AND PAY FOR IT! and that attitude supports the creation of transformers 3, fantastic four 3,die hard 5, indiana jones and the holy ghost in alien atlantis and so on...

now this is that time where i come up with a solution:

just see the ones you're really willing to see, like 2 or 3 per month or so, if everybody would do that the industry would get it and the box office would really mean something...

i know u cant GET this but if u were living in a poor country u would change ur attitude or u'd simply forget about the movie theater because u just cant pay for it

and dont even get me started on downloading music cuz i believe bands/singers/performers should get 0$ for making a good album, all their income should come from live acts PERIOD! so yey illegal downloads...

but hey dont let me stop u from watching big-popcorn-brainless-explosions, go see it, then u go home and say its crap on imdb and then u get to criticize those u watched that same crap for free... so u can feel better about urself

oh and whats up with the 'steeling ur neighbour' thing?? are u crazy? u really think u should support crap just because its from ur hometown or district?

i'm sorry if i was disrespectful, and i know people take this very seriously in the US, afterall its part of ur culture and ur economy, but u would change ur mind if a movie ticket would cost 20$ wouldnt u?

You know... When you write poorly people may be more interested (or bothered? Offended, even?) by your inability to write something cohesively. Maybe how you're saying something is more ridiculous than what you're actually saying.

Also, in regard to this comment...

"and dont even get me started on downloading music cuz i believe bands/singers/performers should get 0$ for making a good album, all their income should come from live acts PERIOD! so yey illegal downloads..."

No one tried "to get you started" on downloads. Why don't you have a chat with Ticketmaster and ask them how much artists concert ticket sales end up in Ticketmaster's pocket? But you're completely right -- we should not reward creativity. Instead, we should punish them for making music we enjoy. Good one.

Here's what's laughable about you (or u, I guess...): You call the poster before you naive because you think they're making assumptions about people in poor countries (?!?) when really, by saying, "just see the ones you're really willing to see, like 2 or 3 per month or so, if everybody would do that the industry would get it and the box office would really mean something..." aren't you assuming ALL Americans frivolously see all movies all the time? No. Hi Pot, my name is Kettle, did you know you're black?

agreed

Get off your soapbox, jerk.

reply

I agree with you that the tickets are overpriced but I cant understand why you call this greatly animated 3d movie crap then watch it with your family?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

reply

Well, if you think that way perhaps you should have taken the kids to Transformers instead.

You should stand in shame in front of everyone at IMDB if your posts are pointless

reply

I saw it twice in a week...still love it! watching clips now on youtube!

I think you and your kids were drunk, so stop drinking in the theater

So if I go back to all your posts that said we, who don't care for this movie, need to explain every detail of why we don't like it, we will find that you have loved every movie you have posted on and spent hours making a case on it? I said why I didn't like it, it was boring. Haha I didn't pay enough attention to give you details! Wow! Can't believe a little post ensued such madness! I apologize.

reply

Uh huh yeah I'd better get going, huh hmmm adn yeah Take your kids to transformers loser;!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

How could kids be restless? I thought they loaded this film with lots of pop culture jokes and big 3D surprises. I thought the executives could tell what kids with ADD wanted.

'holy ghost in alien atlantis'

I love this.

That was low.

I really have never cared for any of the Ice Age films, but this one was more tolerable than the other two. That's really not saying much, though. My nine-year-old only laughed at the little squirrel trying to get the nut, and the girl squirrel. If I was to be asked, I would tell people if they have to see this, got matinee. You will feel real stupid if you pay full price, and forget that 3D crap.
