Good film

Those people who think this is anti counterculture, I don't agree. One of the major problems with communes and why they fail is the dominance of a charismatic leader or guru. Many hippies are useless and deluded wastes of space and like it or not these kids were the product of their parents and that way of life. Don't get me wrong, given the right set of conditions communal living can succeed, and capitalism is toxic slavery that tricks masses of people into doing sick *beep* every day.

The thing is though, in their messed up chaotic way these kids were right. They could see the corruption and hypocrisy of their environment and were desperate to get out. It is what *beep* them up in the first place. Doesn't mean they are going to automatically sing the praises of capitalism, even though some might. That's the whole point of living your own life and learning from your own mistakes.
