No puppies were harmed...

No puppies were harmed in the making of this film -- they just died -- and I guess that would be the legal loophole. The puppies were too young and died of a virus related illness. Would Disney donate proceeds from this film to prevent the proliferation of puppy mill(s) which was the source of the puppies?

They chose to get puppies from a puppy mill because
a) they are cheaper, and
b) they give away puppies even if they don't yet have 2 months. Afterall, the youngest the cutest! Who cares if they have parvo or die while being taken to the set?

Anyone who supports puppy mills is as guilty as the "breeders" themselves.

I doubt it. Bastards.
