Saw this listed on a website as one of the top 10 horror movies of the year....I guess this means the year sucked. Horrible acting, overbearing music and unlikable actors

Yea I just finished watching this train wreck. Sure the acting is sht, but I laughed my ass off at the homemade strap on scene at the end. A couple extra stars need to be given for the creativity factor alone.

I was really hoping it would be a dark, twisted, and interesting tale, but you're absolutely right. The bad acting just made me turn it off after about 30 minutes in. The little brother character painfully overacts. And the opening scene with the nun and the schoolgirls, and the subsequent scene with the kid forcibly drowning his friend, are not even shocking, just wholly unrealistic.

its such a short film that as bad as it was i tried to push on through and watch the whole thing-but i couldnt do it. leslie andrews is one of the most annoying people i have ever seen in a movie. low budget, bad acting, whatever. i love cheesy indie horror movies. but this one just got worse and worse and i finally just couldnt take anymore of her deadpan nasally whiny horse tooth delivery. i admit that i only watched until the christmas/bonsai tree scene in the barn so i dont know what kind of kooky surprises were waiting for me at the end, but i just had to turn it off in disgust. the "shocking" parts were a)not shocking. but thats cool cause im pretty jaded anyway. unfortunately they were also b)not funny. they were just forced and really kind of boring. i could not even enjoy this as a cheesy gory horror flick. it was just awful. (though i was pretty stoked to see stephen geoffreys!)
