Not that bad

I didn't think it was so horrible. It was mildly amusing. I think the low rating stems from a lot of people going into to see lots of nudity and sex, and being disappointed to find out there isn't very much and it's mostly just a comedy.

No you are mistaken. The low rating stems from how crap and unfunny the movie is. It was not amusing. It shouldnt be called a comedy. Comedies are at their best in the first acts and this had no laughs at all in the first act. The second act was just as bad, and thats when I turned it off - I cant imagine how bad the third act was. You would think a movie with a porno movie theme would have at least a few funny scenes but it has none! I was hoping it would be at least half as good as Zack and Miri, but its nowhere near it. Avoid.

Stefan, just admit you wanted the boobies. I was surprised at first that no nudity was showing up, but actually liked the two main characters, and kept watching. This movie was funny, and I ended up appreciating that there was no nudity. Comedies at their best in the first act? What a very d-bag thing to say, like trying to come off as a film major or something. A lot of comedies start off serious and progress later into the film.

reply

Its nothing to do with the boobies. Its to do with being funny. There are plenty of other college movies that satisfy the need for boobies. I was expecting some funny scenes like Zack & Miri thats all. Im not trying to come off as a film major, every fool knows a movie has three acts and comedies are best in their first act. What the hell are you talking about that a lot of comedies start off serious????? I would love you to name a couple. Comedies need to be funny at the beginning, and the most successful ones are. Most comedies run out of steam towards the end as the jokes end up becoming repetitive and some tie up loose ends by including boring action elements...eg. National Lampoons Euro Vacation, and most Jim Carrey movies. Only a few comedies remain funny all the way due to the strong narrative and sporadic dramatic moments. eg..The Birdcage, American Pie.

Admit it Steve, you just don't get it & you are hiding the fact behind the movie 101 babble you learned from your mail order education.
Not all movies, plays, or books, have three acts. Some have more, some don't even have a opening, they just jump into the frey. Comedy genre movies do not have a requirement of being funny up front, nor at the beginning. There are many great movies that start out of despair, ruin, or perceived tragedy, and end up with the viewers in pain from the laughter.

So don't be such a pretentious twunt about thing you "just do not get", and deal with the fact that you are not the next Leonard Maltin.

And while you are at it try to get a refund from the mail order school or your certificate of edjukayshun.

Every tom dick and harry knows a movie has three acts so why would you even need a mail order education for that you preek.

Anyway, give me some examples of movies where there are more than three acts? Comedy genre movies do need to be funny up front if we are talking about the Hollywood ones. European comedies are totally different. If I see Jim Carrey in a comedy, I expect him to be funny within the first 30 mins. So please give me a example of a comedy genre movie that "starts out of despair, ruin, or perceived tragedy, and end up with the viewers in pain from the laughter"?

And there is no such thing as a good critic. Every a-hole can be a critic so why bother comparing me to Leonard Maltin.

You don't think "Airplane!" or Ghostbusters" are funny, and yet you LOVE "White Chicks"?

Your comedy taste is seriously suspect - no wonder I disagree with you!

The version I watched had ample exposed breasts in it and was actually fairly funny.

I'd rather fail at something noble, than succeed at doing nothing.

If you like satires and B-movies... this is for you. If you've any knowledge of the adult movie industry and the 'plots' and 'acting' they have... you'll enjoy this movie.

If you're looking for theater level - you'll not get it. If you like porn and want the porn version of "Scary Movie" - this is for you. It has all of the comedy parts of a true comedy movie (including Zack & Miri) minus the budget, actors and promotion machine.

The acting is okay. The plot is as good as any satire. The laughs is B level - and is only better if you like the topic.

I grade this movie a 6/10 because it entertained me. I rate most Oscar Nominated movies much, much lower because I'm not PC.

Best puke seen I've ever seen.

that scene was gross! sorry, i have a weak stomach for that kind of stuff....at least there were plenty of tits and hot girls to make up for it!!

ya it was pretty damn funny and my expectations were really low. The porn parody was pretty mediocre but I found it hilarious how the movie kept interrupting every sex scene with something disgusting. I'm guessing the low ratings are from people that starting jerking off only to be interrupted by a cut to a man flailing around in a pool of his own vomit.
